Today I travelled to Asakusa (a Tokyo district) to check out a hotel I’ll be staying in near the end of my trip and to visit the Senso-ji Buddhist temple, Tokyo’s oldest and the most visited religious site in the world.
In the evening, when I went to Tokyo station to reserve a seat on a Shinkansen to Onomichi, the reservation machine couldn’t read the QR-code on my ticket, despite the fact that there hasn’t yet been any problems entering and exiting stations. The ticket office was closed so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to sort it out. This was a pain in the bum considering how many YouTube videos I’d watched explaining how to reserve seats.
This is an interactive photo (you can scroll around) of my bedroom in the Villa Fontaine Grand. Note the free (every day) pyjamas (no, you can’t take them away, and no, Sandra, there’s not another person in the room).
